You know how Amazon loves a good sale? Well, right now they’ve got the Kindle Paperwhite Kids bundle marked down, and honestly, it’s not just a great deal for kids, it’s a solid choice for adults too.

So, here’s the scoop: Normally, the Kindle Paperwhite Kids bundle goes for $179.99, but it’s currently on sale for $139.99. And if you’re thinking about grabbing more than one (maybe one for you and one for a kiddo?), you can get an extra $20 off when you buy two. Not bad, right?

Now, you could save $5 by going with the regular Kindle Paperwhite while it’s on sale. But here’s why the kids’ version is worth considering: It comes with a case and a two-year warranty that covers accidental screen breakages way better than the standard one-year warranty on the regular Paperwhite. Plus, you get six months of Amazon Kids+ instead of three months of Kindle Unlimited. Sure, Amazon Kids+ is geared towards younger readers, but if you don’t care about Kindle Unlimited, it’s a pretty sweet deal.

Fun fact: There is no difference between the regular Paperwhite and the kids’ model. They are the same device. Amazon just includes a case and markets it differently. You can switch between kids mode and regular mode on any Kindle. So, don’t let the “kids” label trick you. Speaking of cases, the bundle lets you choose from three designs. However, if you want the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” cover, it will cost you an extra $5.

Oh, and there’s also a Kids Essentials bundle for $159.98 that comes with a 9W wall charger. But get this! the charger is $19.99 by itself, so the bundle price is exactly the same as buying everything separately. Not exactly the groundbreaking deal they want you to think it is.

One thing to keep in mind: In the past, kids’ Kindles were ad-free by default, but not anymore. If you’re using it in kids mode, you won’t see screensaver ads, but switch to regular mode, and yep, there they are, unless you cough up an extra $20 to Amazon. Personally, I’ve just been using kids mode to dodge the ads because, honestly, I’m too cheap to pay the fee.

If you’ve been thinking about getting a Kindle, this might be the perfect excuse to finally grab one. And hey, who says it’s just for kids?
