Hanvon Clear 7 Turbo e-Reader Drops on December 24 – Hereโs What We Know
Got an e-reader on your holiday wishlist? Hanvon is rolling out the Clear 7 Turbo on December 24, and if youโre into high-performance e-readers, this one might be worth a look. Theyโre packing in some solid upgrades, making it a step up from the standard Clear 7.
Whatโs New?
So far, we know the Clear 7 Turbo is bringing:
- Qualcomm Octa-Core Processor โ Because no one likes a sluggish page turn.
- 2700 mAh Battery โ Read for hours without worrying about a charger.
- 7-Inch Dual-Mode Display โ This is the big one. Hanvonโs new afterimage self-clearing tech should make page transitions faster and keep things crisp.
Hanvon hasnโt spilled all the details yet, but looking at the regular Clear 7, we can make some educated guesses. That model already has a 300 PPI display, 16 grayscale levels (with software simulating 256), and 30-level DC dimming with adjustable warm and cool tones. Safe to say, the Turbo will at least match thatโprobably with some extra polish.
A Familiar Design, but Faster
The Clear 7โs design already leans premium, with an asymmetrical shape (think Kindle Oasis vibes) and physical page-turn buttonsโa lifesaver if youโre not a fan of swiping. The Turbo is expected to keep that same ergonomic feel but crank up the speed and performance.
Oh, and if youโre looking at other high-end e-readers, Supernoteโs A5 X2 Manta has been very popular lately. Itโs mainly designed for getting things done, but itโs still a good choice.
Should You Wait for the Turbo?
Hanvon tends to focus on blending solid hardware with smart software tweaks, so the Clear 7 Turbo will likely be a refined, more powerful version of its predecessor. If youโre in the market for an upgrade, it might be worth waiting to see how it stacks up against competitors like the Kobo Clara Colour or a discounted Kindle Paperwhite.
The timing of this launch is pretty perfectโright in the middle of the holiday rush when e-book waitlists are surging. If youโve been thinking about upgrading, keep an eye out for more details as we get closer to release day.
